CHICHESTER, N.H. -- Authorities haven't released the name of a 46-year-old man who died of carbon monoxide poisoning over the weekend.Investigators said the man was found in his camper behind an auto repair shop in Chichester. They said he had an unvented gas heater and a gas-powered generator running inside the camper.Following the death, Fire Marshal Bill Degnan is warning residents that they should be aware of the dangers of carbon monoxide. The colorless, odorless gas can kill without warning.
"You can have carbon monoxide in your home and not really realize it because it dulls your senses, and then you quietly go to sleep and perish from the inhalation of it," Degnan said.Degnan said that all homes should have working carbon monoxide detectors.
