Thursday November 6th: Surviving Medical School

If your sense of what it's like to be a doctor or an intern is limited to episodes of Grey's Anatomy or ER, you probably wonder how much truth there is in the TV fiction. We go behind the scenes at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, to find out what it takes to become a good doctor, from the staggering costs, to the incredible intellectual and emotional commitment.

The hospital is host to a program called 'Project Medical Education', and Jennifer Crompton went along on the most recent journey to see what it's like to be an intern for a day.

And on Fritz Wetherbee's NH: The 1st medical x-ray ever taken in America was at Dartmouth College.
