Few anchors have the chance to explore the softer side of the stories that make New Hampshire great. So when NH Chronicle was launched in 2001 Tom Griffith felt it was an opportunity he couldn't pass up. "Our people and our places are what bond us together, and I enjoy sharing that experience with our audience."

NH Chronicle isn't Tom's first exposure to working on a magazine format program. He helped launch "Discover Columbus" in 1983. Together with his co-host, they interviewed interesting people, cooked fabulous food and even brought on the famous animals of Jack Hanna from the Columbus, Ohio Zoo. Jack went on to create a giant television animal kingdom... Tom returned to the anchor desk.

As a professional broadcaster for 25 years, he has worked in radio and television as a news and sports anchor, reporter, weather forecaster and producer. Tom's interest in television began to evolve when the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the turmoil of the 1960s was brought home to television screens across America.

As a teenager, he interned in Mister Rogers Neighborhood in his native Pittsburgh, Penn. A graduate of the University of Delaware,Tom resides in Amherst, N.H., with his wife, Janice, and their three children.
